In general, there are two kinds of traffic. First, free traffic. This traffic comes from visitors coming from Pay-Per-Click ads (eg Google Adwords or YPN) that you use to promote your blog.
Although you can certainly do both, but free traffic should be your primary focus to attract visitors. Paid traffic will probably give visitors to your blog, but once you stop advertising, it also stops the flow of visitors to your blog. Because of the consideration that this article will only touch on how to attract traffic for free to your blog.
How do I get free traffic to my blog?

Please click the search engine site to register your blog in search engine Google, Yahoo, Bing, and MSN.
2. Submit your blog to Blog Directory
Blog Directory is a site that contains a list of blogs that are organized on a particular topic. By registering your blog to the blog directory, in addition to get a shot of your visitors will also be backlink from blog directory sites that most have a high enough page rank value. The result, in the eyes of search engines, your blog will have a higher quality too
3. Create more High Value Content

Write content that is useful for your blog visitors, as well as do keyword-focused optimization in accordance with the topic of your blog. Start by writing content regularly and topically by doing on-page SEO optimization based on the keywords that you aim at. The better the on-page optimization you make, the higher the SERP rank (Search Engine Resul Page) you get, and in turn the greater the chance of visitors coming to your blog
4. Build Backlinks
Building backlinks will increase the value of off-page search engine optimization (SEO) which in turn will increase search results or SERP (Search Engine Result Page). The more natural or organic backlinks you get, the higher your blog SERP in search engines. The result, of course more and more visitors who come to your blog.
5. Promote your Blog
There are many ways to promote your blog without spending any money. Some of the ways you can try are:
- provide comments (certainly not spam comment) on other blogs
- register and leave blog signatures in online forums.
- using RSS Feed service, for example from FeedBurner
- using social media, like Facebook and Instagram
In addition to these ways, you can also try to do blog promotion in a way - amazing way ala guerilla marketing. In essence, make a free promotion effort as much as possible before deciding how to choose paid promotions through advertising.
By doing these steps, your blog will be known for quality and credibility, both by search engines and by readers who feel the benefits of your blog. The end result, you will attract loyal visitors who always come and come back to your blog. After having enough traffic, the next step is to do Pre-Selling and of course monetization.
